Celebrate National Puzzle Day – January 29, Puzzle Lovers Join In Puzzle Fun

January 26
06:25 2021

National Puzzle Day is Friday, January 29. In 2021, everyone is honoring the 25th year celebrating puzzle fun!  There are so many puzzles to choose from: word search games, jigsaw puzzle, Rubik’s Cube, Sudoku, crossword puzzles and others. Puzzles and games are perfect to pass the time and is a great family activity. Educators also use puzzles in classrooms for student learning.  It’s no surprise humans have consumed more puzzles over the past 12 months than in a very long time. Everyone has stayed at home due to the current world health situation and puzzles are the perfect activity!

National Puzzle Day continues to encourage the celebration of puzzles and games on this special day. The holiday started years ago with an invite to classrooms to share puzzles. Kids were encouraged to send a self-addressed stamped envelope to get a free puzzle mailed to them directly. The free puzzles were moved online so people around the world could participate. In 2021, the celebration of National Puzzle Day continues with more free puzzles than ever! Classes, libraries, magazines, schools, families, and kids are ready to break out their favorite puzzles to play. Even adults can enjoy a puzzle or two!

“It’s amazing to see how puzzles are being honored this year,” said National Puzzle Day founder Jodi Jill. “From the Huron, Ohio Library who will be offering free puzzles for patrons to do a curbside pick up to a zoom puzzle fest in Honolulu put together by a senior group, there are going to be puzzles everywhere. We are all celebrating puzzles.”

Free puzzle books are available to download and print on National Puzzle Day. On the official website of the holiday is Puzzles to Play, (www.puzzlestoplay.com) The founder of National Puzzle Day is offering 29 FREE puzzle books, one free book for every day leading up to National Puzzle Day in January. Additionally, a free download, printable activity packet is complimentary as well.

National Puzzle Day comes just once a year, but the puzzle fun is year-round. The Puzzles to Play site has word search puzzle topics of all varieties, from boats to ice cream, from President Elect Joe Biden to weird things people collect, the puzzles offer an endless stream of fun!
